Garden Update....

Here are a few pics of the garden and potatoes after a couple of weeks.  The potatoes have already started sending out leaves and the strawberry plant has given me 3 beautiful strawberries (well, I got 1 the birds got the other two! Darn It.)

We did lose our cucumbers and cantaloupe to a cold-snap last week.  I have re-planted the cucumbers and will probably get another cantaloupe this week after the rains have passed.

I love to cut and create!  I first started with a small Pazzles electronic die cutting machine many years ago.  Then I upgraded to a Cricut Cake for use with my cake creations, then when I discovered that PC was going to phase out machines that have the ability to use Third Party Software I panicked and purchased a Cricut Expression too so that I would be able to continue using my Make The Cut software.

There have been quite a few new cutters hit the market recently that are not cartridge based and I would love to give them a try, so when I found a site that is giving away a new Silhouette Cameo I just had to sign-up - what the heck, I could win a FREE machine!  You too can register to win the machine by clicking on the link here, give a try what the heck do you have to lose?

Pinterest Projects...

There are so many great (free) ideas out there on Pinterest. This year I wanted to try a few of those ideas in our garden to see how they would turn out.   Here are a few pics of two of the projects ....
Potatoes - Red, Yukon Gold, and White Russet
Can't wait to see how this turns out!

Tomatoes, Zucchini, Bell Pepper, and a few Onions in this bed.

Cucumber, Red Bell, Green Bell, Jalapeno Pepper, Serrano Pepper, Cantaloupe, and Onions in this bed.
The beds both have water bottles with drainage holes buried to keep the root area moist.

One of my most favorite things...

There are just a few card making/scrapbooking things that I would just die if they were discontinued!  Today I discovered one of them at an amazing price so I just have to share.

It's the Stardust pens by Sakura. I use them on about 75% of what I make. They add just that little extra finishing touch that projects need sometimes.   If you have never used these, get some. If you have used them and know what I mean...stock up!  Here is the link to the sale site, they stay on sale until the supply is gone.

Not only will you save on these great pens, you'll see many other things like "Tim Holtz" border dies, distressing inks, and so much more.  An absolute must bookmark site for cheapskates like me!

I hit it BIG!

I had to go to town today to get my car serviced, of course I had to stop by the Craft Warehouse to check out the sale stuff for National Scrapbook Month.  Boy did I hit it BIG!

I found the clearance aisle from heaven and my heart skipped a beat.  I picked up some really great clear stamps for .50 to 3.40 at the most. The most expensive "regular" price was 16.99 (I got that one for .50!).  I also picked up a few Smooch for .50 a piece, it looked like they had been opened but that is okay, I just wanted to try them out.  I also picked up a 4 pack of Polished Pigments which was originally 11.99 for just 50 cents.  I love to use these to make my own shimmer mists.  My only disappointment was that I was charged regular price (5.99) for a 5 pack of Glitter Flocking that was marked down to 50 cents.  So, all in all, I bought $105.89 worth of product for 24.63 (it would have only been 19.44 if I hadn't been overcharged!).  I can't complain too loudly for a deal like that.

Check a few of the great stamps I got.

Card making weekend...

Here are a few cards that I had a chance to make over the weekend.  Most are destined for the Farmer's Market this summer, some will be sent to friends and family.  Much of the inspiration for these cards came from my new addiction to Pinterest!
